Renshi James Garner
Chief Instructor
5th Degree Black Belt
Renshi James has been studying Martial Arts for 45 years. He holds several belts in a variety of styles including Chugoku Kenpo (5th degree), Kajukenbo (3rd degree), Shotokan, Shaolin Kung Fu, Kodenkan, Ju-Jitsu, Aikiado, and Su Mui Fa.Sensei James has actively been training for over 15 years in Tai Chi Forms and Chinese Weapons as well. He also holds a Championship Belt for “Top Point Competitor of the Year” as well as numerous awards for Top Supporter, Community Service and Appreciation for his dedicated support in the Martial Arts.
Renshi Deborah Garner
Head Instructor
5th Degree Black Belt
Renshi Deborah has been studying Martial Arts for 38 years. She holds a Black Belt in Chugoku Kenpo (5th degree) and Kajukenbo (1st degree). Sensei Deborah has been an active participant in the California Martial Arts tournament circuit since 1981. She holds seven Championship Belts and has held the title of #1 “Competitor of the Year” Division Champion in Forms (Kata), Weapons (Kobudo), and #1 Grand Champion Awards over her many years of competition. Sensei Deborah is also the recipient of the prestigious “Martial Arts Pioneer” Award for paving the way for all female Martial Artists.
Sensei Armand Guerrero
Instructor
3rd Degree Black Belt
Sensei Armand has been studying the Martial Arts for over 55 years. He started his training when he joined the Marine Corps in 1964. His formal training and instruction started in the early 1970's. Armand trained in Karate - Cobra Kai, Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Kajukenbo. He spent the next 25 years training until his instructor passed away. He found a new dojo, Dragon Cloud and started training in Kenpo Karate and Kobudo (weaponry). He is a 3rd degree Black Belt in Chugoku Kenpo Karate at Dragon Cloud Dojo and has been teaching and training at the Creekside Cabana for 19 years. Armand has continued to practice his Tai Chi over the years for wellness.
Sensei Brandi Sosa
Instructor
3rd Degree Black Belt
Sensei Brandi has been studying Martial Arts for 18 years. She holds a Black Belt (3rd degree) in Chugoku Kenpo. She got involved when her kids were taking karate and Sensei James mentioned starting a morning class for moms. It got her hooked. Sensei Brandi got her Black Belt at 40, proving karate is for all ages as long as you put in the work. Since getting her Black Belt, she has spent the last 13 years teaching kids through the Community Centers, Scholars Academy, and at the Cabana Club. She loves instructing children in the art and skill of Karate, which she believes teaches discipline, perseverance, and responsibility.
Sempei Brittney Nguy
Assistant Instructor
2nd Degree Black Belt
Sempei Brittney has been studying the Martial Arts since the age of 10. She earned her 1st Degree Black Belt at age 16 – Dragon Cloud Dojo. She currently holds a 2nd degree Black Belt in Chugoku Kenpo Karate. Brittney also practices Tai Chi. She continues to teach and train at the San Jose dojo. Brittney attended UC Davis an holds a BS Degree in Computer Science and Engineering.

Senseis James and Deborah have been teaching Kenpo Karate for over 35 years.
